Reward shopping is the practice of entering a boss battle for the sole purpose of attracting desirable rewards. The only popular form of shopping adopted by the Toontown community is known as "SOS shopping". Reward shopping is more commonplace among Toons with maxed Disguises.

SOS shopping
SOS shopping is when a player enters a Vice President boss battle in hopes of finding a desirable SOS Toon. It is not explicitly against the rules, but it is considered a form of greening and violates a portion of Toontown Rewritten's Terms of Service if the SOS shopper enters a boss battle with other players who did not consent to such practice in the event that they disconnect from the battle.
Unite shopping
Unite shopping is when a player enters a Chief Financial Officer boss battle in hopes of finding a desirable unite. It is not explicitly against the rules, but it is considered a form of greening and violates a portion of Toontown Rewritten's Terms of Service if the unite shopper enters a boss battle with other players who did not consent to such practice in the event that they disconnect from the battle. Unlike SOS shopping, this practice is not exactly popular. It is rumored that the Cashbot Cog Disguise worn by Mata Hairy supposedly would determine the quality of the unite and that the color of her apparel would determine the type of unite, but this has yet to be confirmed to be factual.[citation needed]
