  • Hello there, Toonling! I have a ToonTask for you:

I have seen you code some templates and they are looking great! Do you mind making the Cogs template? Everything on it is already there, just need to make the design.

    Thanks!

    • Dynaboom, I agree it would be useful to include the NPC Dialog. I am not sure why it is called Jellybean Pouch either, because it is Jellybean Jar.

X Jumper, do we need the cog template at the bottom of the page as well as on the cogs section on the Cogs page?

        Loading editor
    • I don't know. The Cogs template is placed on the bottom of every page involving Cogs. For the Cogs page, it would be great to have a Cog list for "The Cogs" section.

  • Just wanted to say, been watching as you work on the Mints pages, and wanted to say it looks real nice. Lots of dedication required to stick to a single set of pages.

    • Glad to hear that. I wondered why that page hadnt been added yet but, then again, the wiki is new. I am glad there are more helpful users such as yourself than there were about 2 months ago!

    • Lol I don't mind being helpful :P Its sort of a fun hobby in a way, and gives me something to do. Besides. I'm sort of OCD about getting the information filled out in a proper manner and making things look nice XD

    • Your not alone, I never like cluttered pages, or false information.

  • Hey, on the Fisherman page, after I created the Barnacle Boulevard page, the link to the street by Fisherman Barney will not lead correctly to Barnacle Boulevard. Tried to re-link it, but it won't do anything. You know if something is wrong there?

      Loading editor
    • I am not sure why that happened. I think it is linking now though.

        Loading editor
    • Huh yeah. Now I see that. Strange.

    • On the Donald's Dock page, that street link is red like it doesn't exist. It looks like clicking it tries to get you to create a new page, but then it figures out it already exists.

Link works just fine, but the link looks funny. Maybe it's how the cashe works. Hopefully it fixes itself in less than a day.

Thanks for making that page, by the way.

Edit: Oh it's already blue. Cool.

    • Lol np. I feel we might as well work to fill out every page we can, and add every page we can too. The more information for people to see on this wiki without needing the TTO wiki, the better.

  • Congratulations on your promotion! Sorry it took too long I haven't had much time to be active due to Controlled Assessment's, Coursework ect. Thank you for being such an active member on the Wiki, we really do appreciate it.

  • Hey, I saw you made changes to the Delete template. But you might of messed up the template because for some reason, when a reason is applied with long sentences, the template itself becomes too large and cannot fit a page, which you would have to use the bar to slide through it.

    Can you please fix it?

    • I thought "Stub" and "Construction" were pretty useful. I figured "Stub" could mean it looked alright, but could use a little work. Like on a building's page, it could be missing the location circled on the map.

And I figured "Construction" meant the page was almost empty, but stil needed to exist. They are often empty but have categories like "Polar Place", "rabbits", and "Major NPCs".

I thought "uncompleted articles" was put on the page automatically when you put a stub on it. I don't know if anyone else thinks about this the same way...

        Loading editor
    • I see that the descriptions on those categories need modification; however, the templates are obviously not to be used together on the same page. The construction template should only be placed on pages that contain an insufficient amount of detail, have a need to be majorly changed due to changes, or have no detail whatsoever. Whilst the stub template should be used on pages that already has all basic information, but has a need for further information.

  • When ever I try to log in it wont take me to my toons. It would let me log in but would say TTREngine.exe has stopped working... I tried and tried but wont let me in. What should I do?

    • Usually this means the game is down. If it always happens to you then click here and try performing the fix.

    • Hmm, I had a similar problem on Windows computers, but that wasn't the fix for me.

Fat McStink (TTR's Server Admin) posted a fix to the issue on the following page.

"For some insane, mind-boggling reason, windows loads the wrong TTRGame.bin with the new engine in some cases. It makes no sense.
The fix is to rename C:\Program Files (x86)\Toontown Rewritten to C:\Program Files (x86)\Toontown Rewritten2. The actual new name doesn't matter, it just has to change."

If Toonling's doesn't work, try this out.

  • Just curious, but that trivia you removed from the Skelecog page... How was that incorrect? If memory of the doomsday video serves, and of what was before that, there were no cogs at all before. This was actually also the first time in Toontown Rewritten that cogs (or skelecogs) invaded. So... How was that wrong if no cogs had invaded before, yet from removing that trivia as false, you are saying they have invaded before...

Clarification to help me understand? XD

  • Woah man, what happened to the Power Trip page? I published an edit to fix the chart, and something went crazy.

      Loading editor
    • I dont really know what you had tried to change, but that edit had to be reverted, all the spacing disappeared. I dont really know how that was caused though.

        Loading editor
    • Yeah weird. Whatever though at this point. As long as it gets fixed :)

    • I think I may know what you guys are talking about. I have been seeing some pages left with weird coding in the text. You can see coding when editing a page in Source Mode. The Flunky page was one of those pages that had a ton of weird coding and not only that, but there was also a lot of double-spacing.

        Loading editor
    • Sometimes the Visual Editor tries to automatically "fix" part of the page, resulting in weird spacing issues (among other things). When the code is right, the Visual Editor changes it every time you load it up. So switching between "Source" and "Visual" like 5 times makes it super obvious when you click "Show changes" under "Preview". ...Or just seeing 6 spaces inbetween lines of some text.

Trying to copy/paste stuff in the Visual Editor usually makes "span" code appear all through it. It tries to force the text into what was already the default size, and the text becomes a real mess in Source Mode.

Too bad I can't start my editing in Source Mode without losing the Visual Mode tab... Visual Mode IS sometimes useful.
