  • I was going for the "Two weeks on the wiki" badge, and I got up to 13 days. I forgot to edit yesterday and lost my streak... that's really annoying. I don't want to obsess over the badges as they're just bragging rights, but it's just frustrating that I have to start over again now :p.

    • Why is it exactly that only the admins are allowed to make cog pages? The wiki should be open to any contributions made, I also made sure my C.F.O. page was in the same format at the V.P.page. The C.F.O. is now fully implemented anyway.

As for the picture, yes I'm aware we're only supposed to post TTR pictures, but upon the creation of the article it looked quite empty without a picture and I didn't want to get in trouble for posting a page with no image (the image would of been temporary anyway). If we're categorically saying no to any TTO pictures I'll make sure not to do it again.

I apologize for the rules I broke, I'll try and remember for next time.

    • I'm don't exactly remember what the reason for the cog block was, but I think it was to prevent copy pastas from TTWiki (which were swarming the wiki when you were gone btw) and that we still have to work on other pages that haven't been done yet.  I have no idea why the admins are allowed to though, but they don't seem to.

As for the pictures, you shouldn't worry about an empty page. There are quite a couple of them on the wiki and it doesn't cause anyone to issue bans, spam the comments or anything. It's okay especially when you can't take a picture (in my opinion at least).

    • Okie dokie, thank you for clarifying :). Looking at the "Candidate For Deletion" category I can see that there are a LOT of cog pages, I see what you mean.

  • I just came to say that I am so thankful that you just started and you're already making very insightful wiki articles. Your endeavor to improve the TTRW Wiki is already paying off in such a short time. Perhaps you're one of those people that like to think outside the box and think of different things for a change. Nobody else would have thought of making a page for encrypted clues. With you, this Wiki could possibly be better than Toontown's wiki.

    • Oh my, thank you so much! I really appreciate those kind words. As for thinking outside the box and differently, well, I guess you could say that yes. Who says all the pages have to comform to a standard wiki article format, surely the best way of presenting information should be used, whether or not it looks near-identical to all the other pages ;). As for the puzzle page, as you might of seen on my wall someone actually requested me to make the page. I do believe though that the wiki should be more focused on the Toontown Rewritten COMMUNITY, and it's many aspects rather than the base game. That's just my opinion though and not everyone agrees.

I sincerely thank you for those words, and maybe we can strive to create a better wiki than Toontown Online's ;).

  • Sorry about compltly changeing a bunch of your work on racing. But to be honest, I would have had a lot of  trouble trying to come up with some of that info if you hadn't posted it there. Also, btw, are you Dynoboom from MMO? Keep up the great work! The clues page is gonna be a big help!

      Loading editor
    • Ah, that's alright. I really really appreciate you coming to apologise, that means a lot to me and comfirms that you were acting in good faith. As for getting the info, yes - I've been doing a LOT of archive digging recently. First the golfing development, then the racing, now the puzzle page which is going REALLY far back! Took a lot of digging to even find the relevant threads haha.

I'm not Dynoboom, no, but I can see how you came to that assumption ;). Most of my involvement in the ARG was putting all the pieces/clues together rather than decoding them myself, an example being that I was the first one to understand what the Portability Design blueprint meant in literal terms.

Thanks for saying thanks I guess, stay awesome :).

  • Wow - I have done some much and learnt so much on this wiki today. Been at my laptop for the majority of the day, typing... and typing... and typing... Got myself up to rank 6 in the wiki leaderboards, in one day mind you :p. Very happy with what I've acomplished, 2 new articles and a massive addition to one. Of cause 2 of those articles aren't actually finished... BUUUUUT WHATEVER.

Night everyone, see you around :)!

  • You do a good job of makeing the pages look nice.  Good job on that so far.

I wanted to ask you if you could make a new News Blog called "Clues, Puzzles, and Development Previews (2013)" or something similar.  I don't know if you can rename those things and I'd want it to last.  I'm sure you heard about the Blueprints like "caesar-would-be-pleased" or "serialous-business".  I even mentioned them in Doctor Surlee's page.

But I also want to keep track of all the riddles/puzzles/ARGs on MMO Central Forums (eg. Pieces of Surlee on the TTR Launcher) and the relevant IRC posts (like when they post official TTR Beta pictures.)

I'd be grateful if you could, but I understand if it's harder then it sounds.

Blueprint Examples: The Silly Meter The Portability Design The Manufacturing Machine

    • Yes, we do require one of these on the wiki. By the way, you missed a couple blueprints :p. The Laff Meter The reverse side of the Portability Design. As you can probably guess I've been a large part in the "secret blueprint message stuff" side of the storyline, with decoding a few blueprints and clues myself. I guess it's only fit that I'm the one to document it all hehe. However, I think this would be better in an article, thoughts? I'd include everything you previously mentioned, I just believe it would look better in an article format.

        Loading editor
    • Haha.  I always seemed to decrypt them after someone else already posted the answer.  Almost feel weird not making an account myself to make same pages.

But making it an article... Maybe it would look better that way.  Though I couldn't tell ya the difference between a "page" and an "article".  All I know is I made a "page" called "Encrypted Messages" (regretted that name) only to have it deleted because a blog would suit it better.

To be fair, it DID look messy and maybe a "page" wasn't a good format.  I don't know if you'd still want a "(2013)" or "(2014)" at the end of an article or not.

This page just needs to be big and expandable.  (Wait, that's the back of another blueprint?)

If you think an "article" fits the bill, then go for it!  :)

It'll make it SO much easier to remember who said what, what song refrences who, and which whatzit cooresponds to the thingamabob!

I remember scouring through the lyrics of "Questions of Science" in hopes of finding clues.  Who knows where that post is now...

    • An article IS a page, just another name for it :p. In my opinion it'd look better that way so I'm going to go for it.

I highly reccomend you create an account, I created mine yesterday and don't regret it one bit. It's awesome contributing to something together as a group that the whole community can enjoy.

And yes, the binary one is the back of the portability design (if you look REALLY closely you can see a faint outline of the portability design reversed on the binary one). They were both revealed in the same post: https://www.toontownrewritten.com/news/item/109/lab1-t43-manual-transmission.

Also, I remember when people were going through the "Questions of Science" lyrics, that was a LONG time ago :p.

Have a nice day, and look out for the article soonish :)!
