A group of Toons battling against a Skelecog Mega-Invasion.
A Mega-Invasion is a special type of Cog Invasion, which last much longer than just a normal invasion (usually a few days rather than a few hours). Unlike normal invasions, which happen spontaneously or as a result of a Cog summon, Mega-Invasions are often scheduled and can last for an entire day or sometimes a whole weekend. The types of Cogs invading can vary, and can even include Cogs not normally found on streets or in Cog Buildings, such as Skelecogs and Version 2.0 Cogs.
Mechanics
Unlike regular invasions, Mega-Invasions can take place in multiple districts, with the exception of districts labelled as “safe zones” which can vary as time passes. When a Mega-Invasion takes place, the Toon Headquarters usually create a blog post on the Toontown Rewritten website to offer any possible information about the Mega-Invasion.

Trivia
- The safe zone images shown bellow in the gallery section that came from many blog posts list districts that no longer exist on Toontown Rewritten because they had been renamed or removed with the release of Live.
- Mega-Invasions are negatively viewed by some players, criticizing for how the invasions currently work. They argue that the safe districts could easily be taken advantage of (i.e. spawning other invasions in those districts) and agree that these invasions can sometimes be inconvenient towards Toons working on ToonTasks.
- In order to combat this, certain districts that disallow Cog summons were implemented.
