The Laff-o-lympics are a series of events where players must create a new Toon to work and build up towards a certain amount of laff for prizes at any of the three milestones: 50 laff, 100 laff, or 115 laff.
Events
2017 Laff-o-lympics
The first Laff-o-lympics event occurred on September 1, 2017 and ended on October 9, 2017. To celebrate the arrival of the new Toon species, players had to create a new deer or crocodile to participate. This event had the following milestones:
- Toons who reached 50 laff received the Laff-o-lympics Bronze Medal shirt, along with jellybeans and ToonFest tokens.
- Toons who reached 100 laff received the Laff-o-lympics Silver Medal shirt, along with an exclusive SpeedChat phrase.
- Toons who reached 115 laff received the Laff-o-lympics Gold Medal shirt, and entered a drawing to receive a real world Toontown prize back consisting of a drawstring bag, a Toontown Rewritten poster, and trading cards. Three players were entered in a drawing in which only one grand prize winner received a poster signed by members of the Toontown Rewritten Team.
2019 Winter Laff-o-lympics
Unlike the previous event, the 2019 Laff-o-lympics underwent a new Winter theme. Toons were divided into two teams called "Team Hot Cocoa" and "Team Milk & Cookies". To join Team Hot Cocoa, players had to create a new cat, crocodile, deer, monkey, or mouse. To join Team Milk & Cookies, players had to create a new bear, dog, duck, rabbit, pig, or horse. This event had the following milestones:
- Toons who reached 50 laff received a bronze medal shirt and 3,000 jellybeans
- Toons who reached 100 laff received a silver medal shirt and an exclusive SpeedChat phrase.
- Toons who reached 115 laff received a gold medal shirt and an exclusive name tag style.
In addition to the individual prizes, the team with the most total laff points received an additional 5,000 jellybeans, 1,000 racing tickets, one Gag-Up All unite, one Max Toon-Up unite, and two 600 jellybean unites.
Trivia
- The medal shirts rewarded to the Toons for these events are different than the famous Gold Medal Shirt given out during the New Year's Top Toons Marathon.
- The 2017 Laff-o-lympics was originally going to end on September 30, 2017 but was extended to October 7th[1], then extended once again to October 9th.[2]
