===Temporary Districts===

Revision as of 22:59, 24 September 2016

Districts are each an identical copy of Toontown Rewritten. Each district is identical. However, there are minor differences which vary depending on the district; these differences include number of Toons, Cog Buildings, and Cog Invasions.

Clicking on a district name will provide the number of Toons in that district, and if a Cog Invasion is currently ongoing.

List of Districts

These are currently 15 accessible districts:

  • Acrylic Acres
  • Avant Gardens
  • Bliss Bayou
  • Brush Bay

  • Pigment Point
  • Renaissance River

These districts were introduced during Semi-Open Beta.

Removed Districts

There have been 9 districts which were removed. The reason for their removal is unknown. The following districts were removed:

  • Ink Oasis (removed sometime before October 28, 2014).
  • Pianissimo Plains (removed after being renamed to Pianissimo Plateau on July 15, 2015).
  • Easel Acres (removed after being renamed to Avant Gardens on July 15, 2015).
  • Pianissimo Plateau (removed before September 22nd, 2016).
  • Baroque Bluffs (removed Semptember ???, 2016).
  • Pianissimo Plateau (removed Semptember ???, 2016).

Temporary Districts

Often times due to high population or other circumstances, new districts may appear temporarily to resolve the increase in player activity.

  • Calligraphy Cliff (removed on August 31, 2015).
  • Crayon Canyon (removed on August 31, 2015).
  • Fortissimo Forest (removed on August 31, 2015).
  • Mosaic Marsh (removed on August 31, 2015).

Trivia

  • Developers disclosed that Toons will not be allowed to teleport to a friend in a full district, however this rule was withdrawn in Semi-Open Beta.
  • During Alpha, Toontown Rewritten used the district interface from Toontown Online's earlier days, which showed the number of Toons in a district rather than an indicator for quiet, ideal, or full districts.
  • During Alpha, more districts were added for the Toon Council Presidential Elections to avoid players from lagging or crashing. The developers planned to put everyone who came online into each district.
  • Welcome Valley is a sub-district, therefore it has several duplicates. Each district has its own copy of Welcome Valley. For example, Welcome Valley, Easel Acres and Welcome Valley, Brush Bay are separate districts. Also, you can only access Toontown Central, when in any copy of Welcome Valley.
    • You can also glitch Welcome Valley to have an invasion to happen without an invasion actually happening, so you can get 2X gag points without working on the same Cogs. You simply have to go to a district with an invasion happening, click on that same district again and then click only on Welcome Valley, then teleport. This sets it so that an invasion appears to happen with your gag points, but any type of normal Cog can spawn.
      • Welcome Valley can also be used to quickly get gags after a cog facility/battle. Once you finish, go to Welcome Valley and get your gags at the Gag Shop in that playground. Then from inside the Gag Shop, open up the map in the Shticker Book and click "Return To Playground". You will then be teleported back to the district you were just in the same area so you can quickly return to what you were working on.
  • The amount of Toons that can enter a district was originally 400, but now 500.
    • The amount of Toons it takes to make a district "Ideal" is 300.
  • Avant Gardens may be a pun on the French word "Avant-Garde."
  • Vibrant Valley intends to be the most populated district, which may have something to do with Toon Valley having a larger population back in Toontown Online.
