A Beta Key Task
Beta Key ToonTasks were a special type of ToonTask with the reward of a beta key that would have granted you access to the play AnyTime during the beta stage of Toontown Rewritten. After the completion of a Beta Key ToonTask, you must visit a HQ Officer in any Toon Headquarters in order to claim your reward. The HQ Officer will then notify you that you are able to view the rewarded beta key on your account by visiting the Toontown Rewritten website. A beta key was either to be given to another person or used by the holder if his/her account did not already have a beta key. These ToonTasks had a high rarity, and could only be obtained once a Toon had began completing ToonTasks in Daisy Gardens. They are no longer available as the game moved into Open Beta.

Obtaining
Please be aware they are no longer obtainable. The launcher randomly decided whether the player had an opportunity of receiving beta key tasks. A successful login will be marked by the authentication server to receive beta key tasks. A player would have been able to tell if they have been marked by the launcher if their ToonTask selections have been changed since their previous selection before being marked. Being marked by the launcher may not be the only method to obtaining a beta key task, instead a player may randomly had become marked whilst playing, resulting in beta key tasks becoming available.
Trivia
- These type of ToonTasks are the only special ToonTasks available in the game.
- These are the only ToonTasks that does not reward an item that affects the actual gameplay.
- These ToonTasks come at a high rarity, and are slightly more common when more beta key tasks have been publicly released.
- Beta Key ToonTasks will no longer be in use from September 19, 2014 as the game moves into Open-Beta.
- All current beta testers have been announced to receive a reward as soon as the game has entered Open-Beta.
- Beta keys could only be earned through contests before Closed-Beta.
- There is a possibility that beta keys may return before the game is officially released, the release date is unconfirmed.
- Beta Key Toontasks were withdrawn on September 19, 2014 at 2PM (PDT).
- There was a bug that let toons that didn't get up to Daisy gardens yet find beta key tasks.
