The Anvil is the level three Drop gag. It is preceded by the Sandbag, and it is succeeded by the Big Weight.
General
A Toon gets the gag after earning 100 points. They will then need to earn 500 points to get the Big Weight. This gag can defeat level four Cogs when used in battle. If the gag is organic, it does 33 damage instead of the normal 30 damage.
Trivia
- Anvils are used in many cartoons and was probably the inspiration for this gag.
- The sound made when it Misses is the same sound made when an anvil falls in the Trolley game The Catching Game and Party Catch.
- This is the last Drop gag that only crushes the Cog's head when it hits.
- Anvils are also an item used in racing that targets the leading car, just like the Blue Shells in the Mario Kart video game series.
- When an anvil is used in racing, the kart it targets will come to an immediate halt upon hit.
